Johanna (Joey) Cevallos

Joey was an excellent Spanish teacher! Everyday, she guided me through important aspects of grammar, verb conjugation, and conversational practice. I’ve had a few Spanish teachers before and Joey was by far the best. I learned so much in her classes and gained confidence speaking throughout my time with her. She was very professional, as well as personable. By the end of my few weeks with her, she became not only a memorable teacher, but a friend! I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn or improve their Spanish.

Johanna (Joey) Cevallos is a very talented and likeable teacher. She is very bright, energetic, generous with her time, always well-prepared, patient yet challenging, and, like all of the very best teachers, really cares about her students, doing everything in her power to make them succeed. Working with her for severaI months now has inspired me to work as hard as I can to improve my Spanish. Years ago, another Spanish teacher told me that learning Spanish should be enjoyable. Prior to my classes with Johanna that was rarely the case. Now, I very much look forward to my classes with Johanna, they are enjoyable, and I am working harder, and better, than ever in my effort to finally feel comfortable speaking a second language. My experience with Johanna has been nothing but the best. She is clearly the very best Spanish teacher I have ever had, and a really wonderful person.

I highly recommend Johanna as a teacher. I learned so much in such a brief time. Her teaching style is fun and she is very capable of distilling complex information into easily understandable bits that the student will remember. I feel my level of Spanish communication really increased after spending time with Johanna and she is also a great person that is kind and patient. You will not regret choosing Johanna as your tutor, she is fantastic!
